Kaya Sthairyam is a method of pratyahara (sensory withdrawal) and an excellent pre-meditative meditation. Use this track before your usual meditation practice to deepen and lengthen the duration that you can sit.
By adequately preparing the body/mind complex you will find it much easier to enter into and remain in meditation. This is the purpose for the stage of pratyahara, which is one of the eight limbs of Raja Yoga.
To prepare for this meditation you should do at least a short round of asana and pranayama. A sattwic lifestyle should be strived for by observing the five yamas and niyamas. The combined effects of these efforts allow you to enter into profound states of meditative bliss spontaneously.
